How we help level the field

Strategic Thinking

Tackling gender inequality in education can be a daunting task. But with nuanced situational analyses and a clear articulation of options and actions, we can help any organisation, programme or ministry develop a gender strategy, theory of change, business case, or advocacy plan they can believe in.

Technical Solutions

We have extensive experience in designing and implementing pragmatic, contextual, affordable, and sustainable interventions. Whether it is for reducing violence, shifting social norms or gender responsive pedagogy, we can support your work with thoughtful and effective programming.

Research & Evidence

Given the data and evidence that abounds, it is remarkable how invisible certain groups remain. That is why we provide research design, data analyses, evidence syntheses, and MEL frameworks that ensure that marginal voices are centred and that inequalities that affect them are visible and understood.

Pro Bono Services

If you are a grassroots organisation and could benefit from help with strategic thinking, technical solutions or research, particularly regarding marginalised girls, please get in touch. If you might also need support with proposal and report writing, please see below.

Grant making

Having recently launched, we have yet to report on our grant-making activities. Please watch this space. In the meantime, see below for the different ways in which we aim to level the field for locally-led, feminist organisations who might not have the experience, networks or access required to fund their work with marginalised girls.

Direct grants from
Level The Field

As a Social Enterprise, 100% of net profit generated from our consultancy services goes to grassroots organisations working with marginalised girls. We have a number of strong organisations in our network, but are always keen to meet new ones. If you would like to discuss future collaboration, do let us know.

Support to donor
grant-making

We appreciate how difficult it can be to find local organisations doing good work with marginalised girls. We are happy to discuss our selection criteria and due diligence processes in order to help with your grant-making efforts. Or, if you would like to contribute to our pool of funds, do get in touch.

Support for
grant proposals

An important strand of our pro bono work is to support grassroots organisations  to take the lead in and sustain their funding endeavours. This includes deciphering donor portals, ToRs, developing grant proposals, writing reports,  and meeting donor due diligence criteria, amongst others.

The most common way people give up their power

is by thinking they don't have any.
